Compare the Planetarium Projector and Aurora Galaxy Projector on projection style, room fit, and price so you can choose the right starry-sky effect for your space.
Quick answer
Choose the Planetarium Projector if you want an educational, solar-system-focused display with Earth and Moon movies. Choose the Aurora Galaxy Projector if you want a room-filling starry sky and aurora effect for atmosphere.
What each projector actually shows
The Planetarium Projector is built around celestial bodies of the solar system and includes two movies showing Earth and the Moon in high resolution. That makes it a better fit when the point of the projection is to look at craters, formations, cloud swirls, and planet-specific colors rather than to flood the room with moving light.
The Aurora Galaxy Projector creates a realistic starry sky and aurora borealis effect. Its job is atmosphere: making a bedroom, nursery, or living room feel like it is inside the vastness of the universe. The experience is broader and more ambient, not a guided tour of individual planets.
Room fit and everyday use
For a bedroom, decide whether you want a calm, immersive wash of stars and aurora or a more detailed look at the Moon and planets. The Aurora Galaxy Projector is described for bedrooms, nurseries, and living rooms, so it suits shared or sleep-focused spaces where ambience matters most.
The Planetarium Projector works best where someone will actually watch the movies and explore the projected details. If the projector will mostly run unattended as a night light, the aurora effect is the more natural choice.
Price and color choice
At catalog prices, the Planetarium Projector is USD 17.39 (compared with USD 28.99) and the Aurora Galaxy Projector is USD 54.39 (compared with USD 79.99). The planetarium option costs less, while the aurora option costs more for its broader atmospheric effect.
The Aurora Galaxy Projector offers a color option, so you can choose the finish that suits your room. The Planetarium Projector has no option types listed in the supplied catalog, so treat its appearance as fixed when planning your decor.
Trade-offs to weigh before buying
- Detail versus atmosphere: Pick the Planetarium Projector if you want to study craters, formations, and planet colors through its Earth and Moon movies. Pick the Aurora Galaxy Projector if you want the whole room to feel like a starry sky with aurora. Decide first whether the projector is for learning or for mood.
- Room coverage and placement: The Aurora Galaxy Projector is described for bedrooms, nurseries, and living rooms, so it suits spaces where the effect fills the room. The Planetarium Projector is better where viewers will sit and watch the projected celestial details. Match the projector to how the room is actually used, not just to its size.
- Budget and finish: The Planetarium Projector is the lower-cost option at USD 17.39 versus USD 54.39 for the Aurora Galaxy Projector. The Aurora model adds a color option; the Planetarium model lists no option types. If color matching matters, confirm the Aurora finish before ordering.
