The way the steel balls swing through the ferris wheel mechanism is mesmerizing—I’ve caught myself just watching it for minutes at a time. It’s a solid little physics demo that looks great on my shelf.

I mostly bought this as a desk toy, but watching the motion transfer through the big wheel is genuinely mesmerizing. The chrome finish on the balls catches the light nicely, and it’s surprisingly sturdy for the price. A fun little conversation starter that also demonstrates physics in action.

The balls click together with a satisfying rhythm, and the whole mechanism feels sturdy enough for my desk. I’ve been using it to fidget during conference calls, and it’s surprisingly calming to watch the perpetual motion.
