The wooden case feels really solid and well-finished, not flimsy like some other kits I've seen. It fits perfectly on my nightstand and the warm glow of the tubes makes it a nice conversation piece.

The glow from the tubes is surprisingly warm and easy on the eyes at night. It took me a couple minutes to figure out the time-setting buttons, but now I love how it adds a modern-vintage feel to my desk.

The wooden case has this lovely grain that catches the light, and the tubes themselves glow in that rich amber tone you can't get from LED displays. It's the first thing guests comment on when they walk into the living room.
