Newton's dubbele slinger in aluminium

I was skeptical it would actually run as smoothly as the videos, but the double pendulum's motion is hypnotic in person. The polished aluminum frame looks premium on my shelf and the swings keep going for ages, making it a perfect little desk toy for fidgeters.

I set it up on my desk and the way the two pendulums swing in chaotic, unpredictable patterns has me completely hooked. The polished aluminum catches the light perfectly and rotates smoothly on the pivot for minutes at a time.

The aluminum build feels solid and precise, and the way the two pendulums trade energy back and forth is hypnotic. It’s already sparked three conversations with coworkers today, and the motion is smooth enough to watch for minutes at a time.
