The magnetic base pulls the filings into these delicate little peaks before they scatter downward—it’s mesmerizing to watch the shapes reform each time. I’ve flipped it a dozen times in one sitting and still catch myself staring.

The way the iron filings spiral into patterns as they fall is mesmerizing—a totally unique desk toy. It’s surprisingly calming to watch the magnetic base shape the sand differently each time.

I was skeptical at first, but watching the iron filings form tiny magnetic peaks as they fall is genuinely mesmerizing. The base's magnetic field creates these intricate patterns that change each time, making it a perfect desk toy.
